Bhubaneswar: Airtel Payments Bank is honoured to be one of the banks to support the Government of Odisha’s SUBHADRA Scheme, aimed at empowering women across the state by offering seamless financial inclusion. With over 28,000 banking points across Odisha, including 10,158 points in underserved and unbanked areas, Airtel Payments Bank is ensuring that women beneficiaries can easily open a bank account within minutes. These accounts can be linked with SUBHADRA and other Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes, ensuring fast and secure access to financial support.
The SUBHADRA Scheme provides financial assistance of ₹50,000 to eligible women, distributed as ₹10,000 per year over five years. The first instalment was released on 17th September and beneficiaries can conveniently manage their funds by using Airtel Payments Bank’s network, which serves 5,788 villages in unbanked regions. With 3,818 women banking correspondents across Odisha, Airtel Payments Bank continues to prioritize financial inclusion and women’s empowerment, making essential financial services accessible to every corner of the state.

Beneficiaries can also get their Eco-friendly Debit Cards that come with a host of benefits linked with Airtel Payments Bank account. With Airtel Payments Bank’s user-friendly process, beneficiaries can open their bank accounts swiftly, ensuring easy access to the scheme’s benefits.
The SUBHADRA Scheme will operate across all 30 districts of Odisha, ensuring that every eligible woman benefits from this initiative.
