Bhubaneswar(Odisha) -The clashes between two groups of youths erupts in the capital city of Bhubaneswar on Monday afternoon. Another two groups clashed in the Chunukoli slum of the Infocity police station in the evening. Young men from two different slums had clashed in a winery.
On Monday evening, a group of youths from Pathargadia Ganeshghat slum and a tribal slum near Shikharchandi hill went to a local winery. The local winery is run by a woman. While the youths were distributing liquor and waiting on the porch of the local winery .
the woman first gave the liquor to the youths of Ganeshghat slum. This was opposed by the youth of the tribal slums. The women traders were scolded for saying they needed alcohol first. This led to a rift between the two sides. Eventually it turned into a clash.
The two groups began collecting firewood from a local timber shop and beating each other. As a result, someone’s head was injured and someone’s hand was broken. Seeing their beatings, the others who had come to the winery fled in disarray. The drunken woman also left the local winery and disappeared.
