New Delhi: AAP leader Gopal Rai has urged the central government to convene a meeting of NCR states to take a joint approach to pollution control in Delhi. Gopal Rai has requested Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav to convene a joint meeting with the Environment Ministers of all the states of HSR (Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan).
According to a study report by the IITM4 (Indian Institute of Tropical Management), the Delhi Environment Minister said that between October 28 and November 8, 6 per cent of Delhi’s air pollution comes from external sources. The people of Delhi cannot reduce the pollution by 90 per cent. He therefore called for a joint meeting of the ministers of state of the NCAA.
