Bhubaneswar: The Odisha state government has set a fee for private hospitals for the treatment of people infected with the virus during the corona epidemic. Additional Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra has written to all the district magistrates and CDMOs in the state in this regard.
According to the letter, the fee for a common bed in a private hospital will be Rs 1,750 per day. The move comes after complaints from various parts of the state that private hospitals were demanding more money for treatment from Covid patients.
Similarly, the daily fee for ICU beds will be Rs 12,000, the daily fee for ICU ventilators will be Rs 13,000 and the daily fee for cow care will be Rs 1,000.
